CHP = Combined Heat and PowerOne energy system that uses a single fuel to simultaneously generate electricity and usable thermal energy. It recovers waste heat from power generation for heating purposes, achieving an overall energy efficiency far higher than separate power generation and standalone boiler heating.
Thermal power plants burn fuel to generate electricity and supply heat, with all waste heat from power generation fully recovered and utilized, delivering far higher efficiency than separate production of electricity and heat. On this basis, thermal power plants can be equipped with CO2 capture and recovery plant to extract CO2 from the flue gas of CHP. The captured CO2 is processed into food-grade LCO2 for recycling, maximizing energy conservation, emission reduction and the resource utilization of waste gas.
